Mitavite and Musto
Leading Australian horse feed manufacturer Mitavite has joined forces with high profile European clothing brand Musto.
Musto will be official outfitters of Team Mitavite, selected elite riders in Australia and New Zealand and will work with Mitavite to launch their new range of cutting edge, equestrian and country casual clothing over the next few months. This will include a major presence at Equitana Asia Pacific in Melbourne in November where Mitavite and Musto will share a site and Musto will introduce their new equestrian range to the Australian market.
UK based Musto have their roots in the highly technical sport of ocean racing. Founder Keith Musto won an Olympic Silver medal in sailing in 1964 and in 1971 started a company that was to become the market leader in foul weather sailing gear. By the 1980’s Musto had developed a range of technical country clothing, including an award winning range of equestrian clothing. Today the Musto brand is recognized and sort after throughout Europe.
“Our partnership with Musto is a very good fit for Mitavite. By bringing together a leading European clothing manufacturer with Australia’s premium horse feed brand we are making a clear statement to users of our products that we look for excellence in all aspects of our business.” Colin Price, Mitavite’s National Sales Manager.
Australian Team Mitavite riders, Chris Burton, Tarsha Hammond, Rebel Morrow, Vicki Roycroft, Anthony Thomas, Robert Agnew and Ron Easy have all selected a range of polos, shirts, vests and jackets from the Musto Active Lifestyle and Technical ranges.
The Musto Equestrian range, although quite new to Australia and New Zealand, will soon be available in Equestrian retailers through new distributors Musto Australasia Pty Ltd.
“The initial reaction from our stand at the NZ Horse of the Year Show in March was very exciting. Riders are now aware that the gear is coming and are embracing its arrival with as much eagerness as we are.” Duncan Curnow, Musto Managing Director.
