Archipelago Raid -
2 crazy Aussies and 1 crazy race - priceless! This year, local boys Macca and Grantly, decided to take on the best of the best in the Archipelago Raid. This race in Formula 18 cats is a 5 day race through the islands between Sweden and Finland. The boats must pass through 25-30 checkpoints and try not to hit bottom on any one of 100,000 rocks and islands!
Andrew has a background in the Olympic Tornado class and most recently towent home with the Gold from the 2007 Tornado Nationals. Grantly has spent many a year on the Hobie 16 and the Hobie Tiger. He was a full time member of the Wild Oats crew before taking up a postion United Internet Team Germany in Valencia for the 32nd America's Cup.
