A fabric’s Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) and Ultraviolet (UV) rating indicates how many units of ultraviolet radiation it blocks. Similarities can be found in the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) rating of sunscreen.

Musto’s UV and UPF garments are also treated with dye fast to protect the colour from fading as a result of exposure to sunlight.

BENEFITS OF UPF AND UV PROTECTION

Overexposure to the sun’s harmful UV rays can result in sunburn and a heightened risk of skin cancer. UPF- and UV-treated fabrics act as a barrier between you and these damaging rays.

PLEASE NOTE: UV protective garments are just one of many precautions you should take to protect yourself when UV exposure is high.
