Women's Base Layer

The foundation of your kit. An effective base layer should trap air next to the skin, minimising the loss of body heat. Perspiration also transmits heat up to thirty times faster than air. That’s why a base layer needs to be breathable, wicking and fast-drying: merino wool and thermal fleece are ideal base fabrics. Choose highly wicking and mildly insulating materials when engaging in aerobic activities in cold weather.
